Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take you to build a website?
We work on clients’ websites in order of when they book our services. We will let you know how many other clients are ahead of you when you contact us.
From the moment we begin building your website, the time it takes to build depends on the size of your website and the amount of customization needed. Smaller one-page websites can be done in as little as a week, whereas larger ecommerce sites with photography and other addons can take up to 2 months or more before they are ready to go live.
Will I have full control over my website after you build it?
Yes. Many web developers want you to be dependent on them after they build your website, and they will try to control:
- Your website’s domain
- The login credentials to your website’s backend/CMS
- The email or phone number linked to your website
This can effectively prevent you from making any edits to your own website. With me, you have two choices:
- Once your website/project is complete, we will give you all login credentials and transfer all accounts connected to your website into your name. With this option, you will have full control, but hosting, security updates, and website edits will be up to you. You can however come back to us at anytime if you would like to hire us to help you again.
- Once your website is complete, you can pay us a monthly or annual fee to continue managing your website for you. We will take care of hosting, plugin and security updates, and if you choose, we can also do content updates or site edits for you at an hourly rate. With this option, we’ll only give you access to what you request specifically, as it can cause problems and security concerns to have multiple parties managing the same accounts/content.
Whichever option you choose, the keys to your kingdom can be transferred to you at any time, so you can rest easy knowing your website will ultimately always be in your hands.
What if I want to hire you for one little task or service?
As long as it is listed above or relates to web development and design, we can probably do it! If it’s listed above, it will be at the list price. If it is something different or unique, it will be at an hourly rate.

Are plugin costs included in the package price?
Many essential plugins, such as Elementor Pro, are included or offered at a significantly reduced cost through my enterprise licensing. This helps you save money while still accessing premium tools. However, some specialized plugins (e.g., memberships, course platforms, or WooCommerce addons) may need to be purchased separately. I’ll work with you to determine what’s necessary for your site and keep costs as low as possible.
Do I need to pay for hosting?
Yes, hosting is essential to make your website live. You have the option to choose your own hosting provider or let me handle it for you. For WordPress sites, I use Hostinger, which offers reliable performance and security. If your site is built on Shopify, you’ll need to subscribe to a Shopify plan directly. My hosting service includes maintenance, regular backups, and robust security features, so you can focus on your business without worrying about the technical details.
How do I pay you?
Once you decide you want to hire us, we’ll send you an invoice for half the cost estimate up front. The remainder is due upon project completion. If there are significant changes or extensions in the project, another invoice may be sent in the middle of a project.
We are also open to payment plans for those that need help.
We accept online payments through Square, Zelle, Paypal, Venmo, or bank transfer and soon we will accept Stripe payments on our website (ask us if you want to pay this way). We also accept cash if you happen to be in Western North Carolina.
Do you accept Payment Plans?
We understand that investing in your website is a big decision, and we’re here to make it easier. That’s why we offer flexible payment plans for all our packages. Here’s how it works:
- Pay an initial deposit 25% to 50% to secure your project.
- Split the remaining balance into manageable monthly installments.
- Enjoy a stress-free experience while we bring your vision to life.

At the moment, I work independently with other independent contractors on a per project basis. If you are interested in working with me, let me know. You may be able to help me with a project.
